Tim Crowell is the Chief Architect of Smart Grid Solutions at Leidos Inc. In this role he was responsible for the development of Leidos' market leading Smart Grid as a Service product.  His passion for technology and developing the next generation of technology leaders prompted him to found Friends of FIRST in January of 2014. In addition to promoting FIRST programs through the work of Friends of FIRST, he also coaches the St. Paul's Episcopal School FIRST LEGO League team. He is a graduate of Tulane University.

M. Jason Akers, a resident of New Orleans, has fifteen years of experience as a public finance attorney.  As a partner with Foley & Judell, L.L.P., Mr. Akers works for both public and private entities throughout Louisiana on many bond issues and other types of financing arrangements.  He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL), currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Education and Member Services Committee.  He serves on the Board of the St. Paul’s Homecoming Center and regularly volunteers for various local organizations, including WYES (New Orleans’ public television affiliate) and Hike for KaTREEna.  Mr. Akers is a graduate of Millsaps College and the University of Mississippi School of Law.

Paul has been a leader in the New Orleans technology community for several years. He currently is employed as a software engineer with Oseberg, helping to design and build the next generation data platform for the Oil and Gas industry.  Prior to that, Paul was responsible for assembly of the development team at iSeatz and spearheaded their deployment of major consumer travel portals. Named to the Silicon Bayou 100 list in 2014, Paul enjoys mentoring software companies through The Idea Village’s IDEAx program.

Ashley is an Information Technology manager at Entergy and has over 20 years of experience in IT application management, project management, service delivery, business service consulting and strategic planning with specialization in operations of customer systems. Ashley has extensive knowledge and success in program and project management of large system portfolio with development of new systems and accomplishments that led to technology awards and accomplishments recognized within the industry.

Her notable accomplishments and awards include delivering outage communications project that led to Entergy being awarded top five spots in the nation in proactive outage communication by JD Power & Associates in 2013 along with Chartwell Best Practice Award.

Ashley also has notable publications in Information Week, Chartwell Best Practices and Industry articles, Speaker at Chartwell Webinar on Outage Communication, Speaker at Chartwell Web & Mobile Summit and SEE Customer Service Award recipient.

Her passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and education has led her to become a FIRST Lego League (FLL) Coach at St. Paul’s Episcopal School in New Orleans. She enjoys teaching new skills and guiding the children through robot and system design. Her role as a FLL coach has allowed Ashley to inspire and get children excited about science, technology and engineering.
